No greater love....than this.

Woke up super late on this Saturday morning and found out that it was raining cats and dogs.
And so it ruined my plan of going out.
I just don’t like myself to be drenched after putting on going-out-clothes.
And so, I dated myself for the day instead.
I went online and saw cat.
Had a nice chat.
And I don’t know why we went on talking about our past relationships.
The past is always the past.
We just can’t change anything that has happened.
But it feels good to comfort and encourage each other since we’re in the same boat for now.
Well, the topic ended quickly as it was not too good to dwell too long on it.
What we can do is to treasure the time and chance we have right now to make things right and set things for the future.

So, later I played some songs and did some recordings.
Took a looooong time just to record a chorus of a song.
I was worried I will wake the neighbours up but I still sang like nobody’s business.
Hahs.

That was how I spent the whole morning and afternoon.

After that, thank God the rain stopped and I got ready for church.
I just think I’m pro at being at places ON TIME.
Because I always slowly prepare myself until it’s the time for me to leave.
And so as I walked out of my house, I saw a bus coming.
Looking at the time, I know I must get on any bus, or else I’ll be late.
So I just hopped on.
1st time talking this bus as I always took the other route.
Everything that followed was all just so perfect timing.
The train just left immediately after I boarded it as trains at Tanah Merah towards changi airport always take their own sweet time.
And tadah~ I reached church on time.
Service started as soon as I stepped in.

What actually made me and all my other brothers and sisters took the trouble, came all the way to that exact place?
Saturday is a day which I so look forward to.
Not only it’s a weekend that I can finally rest.
But mainly because I can go to church!!
Yup yup.
Thinking of it already makes me feel so happy.
It’s not because of obligation.
Not duty.
But the love for the heavenly father.

During the service, I was struck by something.
I suddenly remember the tithe I gave last week for the month for april.
As I’m already a working guy right now, tithe shouldn’t be that small amount when I was a student.
Honestly, writing the exact amount on the offering envelope stirred up some feelings in me.
But I know I will never out-give God.
Parting with that somehow large sum of money was hard.
But deep down I knew, what God has done for me worth a million times more than what I gave.
Then, today, what struck me was my weekly incentive I’ve earned from my job this week.
I was dumb folded when I realised the exact figure.
It was exactly 2 times of my tithe.
"God will definitely bless you with 2 fold, 10 fold, or a hundred fold of what you have given to Him"
A phrase which is so familiar and now I see it.
This is my first job, my first income.
And I can see the hands of God in my life.
To see how He has turned so many unfavourable situations around just touched me so much.
Warm tears just flowed down my cheeks.

Amazing love.
Who am I?
Just a small speck of dust in a vast universe.
I LOVE YOU!!!
I shouted at the end of the praise song at the end of the service.
My heart trembled and the warmest tear flowed out of my eyes as I know those words came out right from the most deep down and bottom of my heart.
